WOCATE welcomes you at its website and
we hope to give you further information about WOCATE's mission and tasks,
its activities and of course its members. We invite every organization,
association and interested colleagues for cooperation.
Requests
It is the worldwide
request of WOCATE to transport the development of the
technical education by networked communication, by
encouragement for the cooperation as well as by
innovative solutions for all people.

Organization profile
The First
World Confernce on Technology Education - INCOTE'92 - took
place in Weimar/Thuringia in April 1992.
As a result of this convention the representatives of
17 national associations and organizations decided to
found a corresponding world association for the promotion
of the technology education in the whole world.
This association was
established as WOCATE - World Council Of
Associations For Technology Education, with the official secretariat in
Erfurt, the capitol of the new federal state Thuringia.
The application for admission of WOCATE as
"acknowledged, non-governmental, charitable and international association" at the
UNESCO, the World Bank and the EU was instituted in 1993.
WOCATE got the status of a NGO (non-governmental) on June
25th, 1997.
"NGO in operational relation with UNESCO may
neceforth be used to describe your organization's
relation with UNESCO."

The World Council of
Associations for Technology Education "WOCATE" acts
as communication partner as well as author of new
thinkings and activities in Europe, North- and
South-America, Africa, Australia and Asia.
WOCATE sees itself as
interface and initiator for the worldwide communication
as well as the support of international and national
innovations in the area of Technology Education.
